Oxford Man Arrested For Assault Turned Robbery: Police (Update)

An Oxford man wanted for assaulting then robbing a woman was arrested at his residence Wednesday, Oct. 9, according to police.

Terence Kenneth Henderson, 26, a Middletown, Delaware native most recently of Oxford, was arrested and taken to Chester County Prison where he was arraigned Thursday, Oct. 10, the Oxford Police Department said.

Henderson is being held on $100,000 bail with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22, according to police.

Police issued a warrant for Henderson's arrest after he was seen by officers forcefully restraining a woman inside a parked vehicle in the 200 block of North Fourth Street at 8:27 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, police said.

When confronted by officers, Henderson fled on foot into a wooded area with a cell phone he had taken from the woman, according to police. Officers searched the area but were unable to find Henderson. The phone was later found severely damaged in the 500 block of Wheeler Boulevard.

Henderson was charged with: 

  • Felony Robbery - Inflict/Threaten Serious Bodily Injury.
  • Misdemeanor Theft by Unlawful Taking - Movable Property.
  • Misdemeanor Unlawful Restraint/Serious Bodily Injury.
  • Misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property.
  • Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
  • Misdemeanor Simple Assault (two counts).
  • Misdemeanor Loitering and Prowling at Night Time.
  • Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief - Damage Property.
  • Misdemeanor Criminal Trespass.
  • Summary Harassment (two counts).
  • Summary Disorderly Conduct.
  • Summary Disorderly Conduct Engage in Fighting.

Henderson has a criminal record in three Pennsylvania counties; Delaware, Lancaster, and Chester; for conspiracy, harassment, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, disorderly or hazardous conduct, and drug-related offenses dating back to 2016, court records show.
